District Theory of Action: Continuous Improvement
The systemic implementation of social and emotional learning (SEL) requires a continuous assessment of how well the various strategies are helping a district achieve its vision for SEL. A high-functioning district systematically collects data from all schools on SEL program implementation, students’ social and emotional competence, and school climate. Central office staff and school teams reflect on these data and take them into account in changing practices.
