A new virtual course for teachers, Belonging & Engagement in the Classroom, equips you with strategies to build a welcoming and inclusive classroom culture that fosters community and sparks curiosity, so that learning can follow.

Multi-part Courses

      • WHAT: 12-hour, self-paced virtual course including videos, personal reflection, activities, and discussion questions
      • WHO: Classroom teachers and school staff; available for self-study and self-led group learning
      • WHAT’S COVERED: A deeper dive on the foundations of SEL, how to teach and model SEL, how to build a supportive classroom culture, how to integrate SEL into academic instruction, and how SEL supports both students AND the adults in a learning environment.
      • WHEN: Self-paced, with access to materials for one year
      • HOW LONG: 7 lessons varying in length
      • HOW MUCH: $225 for individuals; $200 per for 10+ participants; $175 per for 20+ participants;

      • HOW MUCH: $175 for individuals; $150 per for 8+ participants; $125 per for 40+ participants; $1,500 for CASEL-provided series facilitator package

      • WHO: Leadership teams ready to strategize and plan for SEL implementation in their school or organization
      • WHAT’S COVERED: Structured around CASEL’s Guide to Schoolwide SEL, this course leads participants as they assess their strengths and areas for growth, develop a shared vision and measurable SEL goals, define action steps, and explore tools they can use with their community.
      • HOW LONG:  12-15 hours
      • HOW MUCH: $250 per person or $200 per person for teams of 4 or more. Large group pricing and customization available.

SEL Implementation Support

      • WHAT: CASEL experts explore all aspects of your school’s or district’s operations, including leadership, operations, instruction, family and community engagement, human resources, and more. We engage in deep discussion with leaders, meet students, and visit campuses. Our goal is to help you identify strong work you can build on as well as new opportunities for growth in SEL implementation.
      • WHO: Schools and districts seeking to assess and inform their current SEL implementation
      • WHAT’S COVERED: SEL as it appears in all aspects of the district’s current work, including culture and climate, leadership, academics instruction, discipline, student support, etc.

Communities of Practice for Education Leaders

      • WHO: Leaders from rural, suburban, and urban school districts and regional offices who are responsible for overseeing or guiding systemic SEL work
      • WHAT’S COVERED: 3 hours of monthly live meetings with workshops on leadership and implementation, peer inquiry circles to tackle common challenges and innovative solutions, and individual connections with a “journey partner” and a CASEL mentor
      • HOW LONG: 10 months (August through June)
      • HOW MUCH: $6,000 per person

      • WHAT’S COVERED: Explore both the theory and practice that underpin CASEL’s approach to social and emotional learning, gain insights into how SEL is being implemented and adapted in various countries and cultural contexts, apply SEL principles to enhance personal development, partner with CASEL to broaden understanding and strengthen connections within the global community, and build expertise through CASEL’s four focus areas: building support and planning, adult SEL, SEL for students, and adopting a lens of evaluation and continuous improvement.
      • HOW LONG: 2 years
      • HOW MUCH: $10,000 (USD) per person annually; $20,000 total for the program’s full two years
