Fraud Alert

Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) has become aware that its name is falsely being used in connection with a phishing and fraudulent check writing scam. Based on the information we have been able to ascertain, the perpetrators may request your personal financial and other sensitive information, in exchange for a promise of payment from CASEL.

If you have been contacted by someone claiming to represent or work with CASEL who asks for your bank account or other sensitive information, you can contact us at fraudalert@casel.org to verify whether that person is contacting you for a legitimate purpose.

If you have received a check resulting from such a request, please be advised the check is counterfeit and will not be paid. We encourage you to contact your bank immediately. You may also consider contacting your state attorney general, the Federal Trade Commission, or other scam or identity theft reporting agencies available in your area.

If you have any further questions, or believe you may have been the victim of this scam, please feel free to contact us at fraudalert@casel.org
