CASEL offers two open-enrollment virtual workshops for educators to experience, discuss, and apply strategies for weaving SEL into their work with students or adults.
Registration is open now, or contact us using the form below about providing this workshop for just your school district or region.
The SEL 3 Signature Practices
The SEL 3 Signature Practices are a popular on-ramp for integrating SEL into classrooms, schools, and organizations. This two-hour virtual workshop is beneficial for school and district leaders, teachers, out-of-school time professionals, professional learning facilitators, and anyone else who wants to infuse simple but meaningful SEL practices more effectively into their work with young people or adults. You’ll learn directly from the educators who developed the SEL 3 Signature Practices framework and Playbook, and gain advanced strategies to move from intuitive to more intentional and systemic use of these practices:
- Inclusive Welcome: Invite all participants in with an activity that builds community and connects to the work ahead.
- Engaging Strategies: Offer opportunities for participants to more fully grasp content and connect learning to their own contexts through interactive and reflective experiences.
- Intentional Close: End each engagement in a way that highlights learning and accomplishment and builds a bridge to a next step
Integrating SEL with Academic Instruction
Student engagement and learning deepen when SEL is embedded within an academic lesson. This two-hour virtual workshop is designed for K-12 classroom-based educators and their administrators and instructional coaches. Participants will observe and discuss how SEL can strengthen an academic lesson and gain strategies for integrating SEL with their academic content and instructional strategies. Come away with tools to locate opportunities for SEL within your academic content area, enhance existing lesson plans with SEL strategies, and lead collaborative discussion with colleagues.

CASEL’s in-depth, multi-session course is for SEL teams that are ready to lead SEL strategic planning and implementation in a school setting. Learning is structured around CASEL’s Guide to Schoolwide SEL. Throughout the course, participants take action to assess their school’s strengths and areas for growth, develop a shared vision and measurable SEL goals, define action steps, and explore tools they can use with their school community.
Leading Schoolwide SEL is available as a self-paced course or a facilitated in-person or virtual series. It can also be tailored to suit your district audience’s prior knowledge, SEL implementation experience, and key priorities. CASEL staff can support data collection, reporting, and analysis, and prepare your team to support schools as they tackle action steps.
