The foundation of learning is belonging and engagement.
Back to topWhen students feel that they are seen and heard, that they matter and belong, school becomes a place where they want to be.
In this year’s SEL Exchange, presented by Responsive Classroom, we’re inviting top education leaders to explore the theme “Belonging and Engagement in Action” during a one-day, virtual summit.
Keynote speaker Dr. Christina Cipriano (University of Massachusetts, Amherst) will open the summit with an illuminating, thought-provoking discussion about the science of belonging and a future in which all students are seen, served, and safe to learn.
You’ll hear from speakers and meet with colleagues from around the country to share ideas about the impact of belonging and engagement on student well-being and academic achievement, how districts and schools are leveraging SEL to create environments where students feel ready to learn, and what students themselves want to tell us about their experience of school?
