CASEL began as a collaborative of individuals from diverse disciplines with a shared commitment to advancing the science and practice of social and emotional learning. Today we have evolved into a fully staffed nonprofit organization.
We continue to engage and convene outside experts who provide critical advice and guidance on key directions and activities for CASEL. We believe that cross-disciplinary collaboration produces the richest insights, biggest impacts, and best outcomes on behalf of children. Our Research Advisory Group consists of leading experts in research on social and emotional learning, child development, and the prevention of problem behavior among youth. The group includes representatives of the nation’s leading universities and nonprofit education and research organizations.
