At this year’s Exchange, we got a glimpse of the future as we explored the theme “Blueprints for Tomorrow: Designing the Next Era of Learning.” And what a future we envisioned! Experts from all over the world came to share their insights about social and emotional learning and its connection to AI/technology, mental health and wellbeing, student engagement, and learning pathways.
The consensus was clear: By coming together, bridging our differences, and putting the success, wellness, and thriving of students first, we can forge a path to a brighter world. Here are just a few of our favorite moments from our two days together:
Hedy Chang explains how student belonging is a building block of a democratic society.
Back to topDavid Adams and Heather N. Schwartz discuss the skills that AI can’t teach.
Back to topJohanna Sam explains why students go “touch grass” when overwhelmed by online life.
Back to topSara Rimm-Kaufman explains that students’ developmental needs are interconnected.
Back to topTim Shriver explains “turtling” as a way for students and adults to deal with stressful times and big emotions.
