Announcement: The CASEL Exchange Is Going Virtual

The 2025 Exchange is going virtual. Here’s why:

When we first envisioned the Exchange in 2019, we wanted it to be just that: an exchange of voices, ideas, and innovations from across the world. When the pandemic arrived in 2020, we pivoted to a virtual gathering to ensure the experience was available to all.

Now, we find ourselves in a similar moment. With funding interruptions affecting districts everywhere, educators are facing travel restrictions preventing them from attending convenings like ours. That puts the Exchange out of reach for many U.S. educators and members of our broader community.

But the need is still there. And CASEL is determined to meet it. To ensure that all educators are able to take advantage of the learning and sense of community of  this event, we are re-imagining the Exchange as a months-long series of virtual events starting November 4, 2025.

This more accessible opportunity allows us to join together as a community and leverage our passion to build the future of education. Details are coming soon, including an invitation to the free kickoff conversation on Tuesday, November 4. This session will feature CASEL President and CEO Dr. Aaliyah A. Samuel in conversation with Dr. Andreas Schleicher from OECD. They’ll explore the science behind motivation and connection, and how emotional intelligence and the smart, ethical application of technology can fuel each student’s journey to a successful future.

With this series of events, we have the chance to stretch our collective imagination and push the boundaries of what’s possible for the future of learning. Sign up to receive updates about the Exchange. We hope you’ll join us.
