Administrator Academies

In partnership with state ROEs, CASEL offers a 6-hour Administrator Academy (AA) for administrators in order to help them interpret the Illinois Children’s Mental Health Act, explore the new social and emotional learning standards, and understand the implications of both for their students, schools, and district. This Administrator Academy is also intended to augment administrator knowledge of the research base and academic and work-skills impacts of SEL. The workshop is designed to provide administrators with an understanding of the crucial role they play in launching a schoolwide SEL initiative, as well as orient them to the steps involved in implementing SEL schoolwide.
