In chapter 7 of CASEL’s Sustainable schoolwide SEL: Implementation
guide, we summarize the research on the role of
the leader in implementation, particularly related to SEL interventions.
In this chapter, the role of the leader in creating a school culture
of change; engaging staff in a shared leadership process; providing
resources and infrastructure to make change possible; providing
